Encounters are inevitable, but almost all encounter problems arise when people overreact in the presence of a wolf. Let them be and they will not seek us out with the intent of causing us harm. Wolves to date only become aggressive when people act unpredictably and violently around them. Or when we try to do foolish things like handfeed them.
