Wild Mushrooms Business Card

Mushrooms are seen growing on the charred remains of a burnt deciduous hardwood tree, soon after a fire had ravaged the pine and oak woods, near our home, in this woodland landscape. This is a species of mushroom that grows on dead or dying trees allowing nature to recycle decaying wood. These fungi have the appearance of a shell of an oyster and are layered against the dead wood as if they were shingles. Each wild mushroom or fungus is white with multicolored bands of tan and grey colours. Pine needles can be seen on the forest floor at the base of the dead tree trunk.
