William Morris John Dearle Embroidered Screen Mug

This design incorporates a beautiful print of "Embroidered Screen" which in its day was a piece of decoration used in the home as a wall hanging or a screen. It was designed by John Henry Dearle (1859 - 1932), assistant to William Morris. Dearle was a British textile and stained-glass designer trained by the talented artist and craftsman William Morris (1834 – 1896) a man greatly influenced by the Pre-Raphelite Brotherhood.
