"Wood Sprite 1" Postcard

A piece I did for the "Wood" group show at Seattle's Eight and Sand Gallery (all featuring paintings on wood) - this lovely little Wood Sprite was painted on a slice of wooden log - complete with bark. For the purpose of printing, prints & canvases have a solid back oval for the background. I painted the leaves as sort of a trompe l'oeil - a bit of an illusion to look as if the leaves were lying on top of the painting, with the wood sprite peering through a hole - but in reality it is a completely flat piece.
