Yapon Holly with it's red berries and prickly leaves is illustrated here with watercolor and ink by Mark Catesby in the early 1700's. Vintage nature art that is nearly 300 years old. The berries of this Holly tree are a favourite of the Cedar Waxwing and American Robin which are North American birds. Part of a series of products by Natureous Wild that features the vintage nature art of Mark Catesby.

Really nice image fixed to the tiles in my shower as a background to a soap dish. This was to hide the marks left by a broken soap dish. Just used tile adhesive and white grout. I think it looks good, almost like the drips are falling from the soap dish. No probs. Nice image.
