Yule Blessings Holly Vintage Style Christmas Cushion
In ancient times, Yule was a Germanic celebration of the winter solstice that lasted 12 days. Today, Yule simply means Christmas and tide means time. Yuletide, or Christmastide, is another way to say the season or days surrounding Christmas and the winter solstice. The holly in this illustration is a deeply symbolic plant in many traditions during the Yuletide or Christmas season. In Celtic folklore, it represents peace and goodwill. In some traditions it represents protection. Today, you often see the dove of peace carrying a holly branch as a popular Christmas motif marrying these ancient and modern symbols into today’s Christmas traditions. “Yuletide Blessings of Hope and Comfort” is an original illustration inspired by Victorian-style graphic design and typography. The piece uses a distressed paper background for a vintage poster appearance. It is perfect for creating a Victorian Christmas aesthetic. I designed this pillow as a birthday gift for my Mum from a pastel drawing of my own wedding bouquet. She wanted some of my artwork in her living room, so I decided to get it reproduced on something useful. The pillow is really soft and comfortable - perfect for her bad back. She absolutely loves it. I was a bit worried about print quality, but it was perfect. The definition of the pastel marks really came through and the colours are so vivid, it almost glows in the dark. The colour reproduction was spot on and the text on the back well-defined. Better than expected.

Would be better if you could select several photos at once from your own saved photos to save them on to the website rather than one at a time.
Great quality in fact ordered 2 more of a different photo layout design for Christmas presents. Photos and photos of drawings my young nieces did on this cushion turned out perfect or I should say ‘purrrrrfect’ as they were all photos of their cats
