Based on the well-known Christmas carol, "The 12 Days of Christmas," this whimsical image portrays the eleven pipers as a veritable menagerie of different animals, including dogs, cats, a bird, a pig, a mouse, a squirrel, a turtle and even a lizard. The animals are each playing different pipe instruments, from the dog in Scottish-style plaid with traditional bagpipes, to flutes and simpler instruments.
