About This Design
1944 British three pence keychain
The British three pence (thruppence or thrupenny bit) was irregularly minted between about 1547 and currency decimalisation in 1971. It was valued at three pence (3d), 80 thruppence to a pound, four thruppence to a shilling. It appeared in a variety of metals, sizes and designs throughout its life. "Thrup'ney bits" is also cockney rhyming slang for breasts. This thruppence was designed for Edward VIII before he abdicated in 1936, and appeared through the reign of George VI. It is 6.8 grams of nickel-brass, twelve-sided, 20mm at the narrowest and 21mm at the points. The flowers are thrift (also called "sea thrift" or "sea pink"), suggestive of being thrifty with money. UK currency was decimalised in 1971. This coin is pre-decimal currency and is no longer legal tender.

Metal Circle Keychain, 2"
Very poor quality. Almost unreadable to the naked eye, imafes on store are much clearer, very misleading.
