Bat on Moon Apron
This crest is only listed in the 'Heian Monko' crest book. Further research revealed that this crest has not been passed down as a family crest. From this, it is considered highly likely that 'Bat on Moon' was selected from among the designs that uwa-e-shi (painters who painted on ceramics and lacquerware) had kept and transmitted since the Edo period, and was published in 'Heian Monko' in 1936 as a popular design (from 'Exploring Family Crests' by Keiichi Morimoto).
