"Amanda Palmer Tarot: The Fool" Notebook
For the Amanda Palmer Tarot project I was assigned "The Fool" card! I had so much fun with this piece, and it was an honour to do a painting inspired by such a creative and beautiful person. Referencing the original Rider-Waite Tarot card of "The Fool" - I've chosen a historic Flemish landscape for the background (to retain a renaissance flair, and to indicate the usual clifftop scene). She wears a dress based on the Rider-Waite Fool's fabric, behind her you will see her cloth bindle on a stick for her belongings, she holds The Fool's white rose and has the ubiquitous stockinged feet. I have however painted a white cat instead of a white dog ;) The central character of course (like the rest of the tarot deck) inspired by Amanda Palmer herself with fantastic eyemakeup! My own original acrylic painting.
