An Old Clearing (1881) - Watch

An Old Clearing (1881 ) Oil on canvas painting by Alexander Helwig Wyan. The perfect canvas painting for your gallery wall, and home decor add on. Curate your home and lifestyle with this beautiful vintage artwork! Digitally restored version for the details and cracks in the original painting. Alexander Helwig Wyant was an American landscape painter, also known as Alexander Wyant and A. H. Wyant. He was active as an artist in Arkville, New York, and Keene Valley, New York, among other places. His early paintings followed closely the Hudson River School tradition, while the later—infused with low-key colours, atmospheric features and poetic interpretation—are representative of tonalism.
