Elegant unique design with digital elaboration of Battersea Shield (350 BC,)ornate with spirals, circles, interwoven knots and lattices and 3D green+emerald ,red ruby gem stones.This shield is one of the more iconic British Celtic images .It was found in the area around Chelsea Bridge, London. The shield is almost certainly ceremonial owing to its thinness and lack of visible battle damage. it seems that an object this elaborate would belong to a member of the warrior elite or even a Celtic chief. The application of this decoupage paper was very simple , applied with PVA glue on a plywood surface. The colour stayed true to paper before application . I used cling film to apply over ply wood , no wrinkles , very pleased with the result.
