Apron - 'China Doves'

Blue and white china has long been a favourite of mine. I'm not entirely sure where it began but I do recall admiring the small pieces of Wedgwood Jasperware that my mum and grandmas had on display. A number of years ago I was asked to help decorate my church building for a conference that was being held there. I got a large canvas and created an acrylic painting featuring two white doves against a blue background - inspired by the blue and white china I so admired. A dove alights onto a blossoming branch where its mate sits waiting. I hope this tranquil scene will fill you with a sense of peace and rest and transport you to that wonderful time of year when winter gives way to spring.
