Aztec Serpent Mousepad. Because of the serpent's ability to shed it's skin, they were symbols of rebirth and renewal. The Aztecs were very fond of this idea, and many of their relics have depictions of monstrous serpents on them. The Quetzalcoatl was another serpent that the Meso-American people created. The Quetzalcoatl was very similar to the twin headed serpent, except it had giant, feathery wings, and only one head.
