B4 White Pelican Coaster - These large fish eating birds were once a rare site in south east Alberta, Canada. In the seventies some islands that are popular nesting sites were designated off limits to people, that combined with more irrigation reservoirs have greatly increased their numbers and white pelicans are now a common site on southern Alberta's lakes and reservoirs. This photograph was taken by Flatlandersam on a reservoir south east of the small city of Medicine Hat.
