Battle of Chickamauga Postcard

Battle of Chickamauga Postcard

The Battle of Chickamauga, fought from September 18 to 20, 1863, during the American Civil War, was one of the bloodiest and most significant engagements in the Western Theatre. Southern General Braxton Bragg's Army of Tennessee clashed with Union General William S. Rosecrans's Army of the Cumberland near Chickamauga Creek in Georgia. The battle was chraacterised by brutal and intense fighting in densely wooded terrain, earning it the nickname "The River of Death." Despite desperate efforts by both sides, the Southerners ultimately gained the upper hand on the second day, driving a wedge between the Union forces and forcing them into a retreat towards Chattanooga. While Chickamauga ended inconclusively in terms of territory gained or lost, it inflicted staggering casualties on both armies. The battle set the stage for the Union's defensive siege at Chattanooga and the Southern defeat at the Battle of Chattanooga, ultimately opening the gateway for the Union's march into Georgia.

Bought 10 Shakespeare quotes postcards and have framed them individually and placed them around the house Love them, some are funny and some are deep and meaningful! Lovely background on some, excellent printed words. A couple of plain white cards with black print - very stricking

My order was probably an awkward one! I asked for a range of different fine-art prints, in postcard size. It was all freshly printed, delivered quickly and at a very reasonable price. Best quality matt finish I've seen on a fine-art print.

These cards are great quality, I use them as enclosure cards for my business! Hey are a little pricey but you definitely get the quality and professionalism! Repurchased a few times now and will continue to do so :). Beautiful, nice sheen on them, sharp and clear
