Berthe Morisot - The Fable Magnet

Berthe Morisot - The Fable Magnet

The Fable (La fable), painted in 1883 in oil on canvas by French Impressionist painter Berthe Morisot. The painting presents an intimate figure scene whose title evokes storytelling and childhood imagination. Morisot lets faces, clothing and surrounding space emerge through quick, luminous brushstrokes, emphasising the fleeting character of the moment rather than tightly finished narrative detail.

This is gorgeous little magnet, which I am using on my fridge, the artist has captured the primroses perfectly, always nice to bring a bit of beauty from the outside in. The printing turned out brilliantly, the primroses really do stand out.
