This painting is of my sister holding my niece towards the end of her 3rd birthday party. My niece has her favourite things of her pacifier, purple blanket, and a balloon. She is in her favourite colour of pink. With all these favourite things, it is never complete without a kiss and hug from her beloved mummy, my sister. I love this image because it has sweet tenderness of a private mother and daughter in a moment in the midst of toddler birthday party chaos. I like the peace they both have during the brief moment for a hug and kiss.
