Bird of Paradise Large Clock

Bird of Paradise was taken in India next to a farmer's field. I have an artificial plant in my home, but to discover this plant in nature is just exciting. The Bird of Paradise is a classic plant people think of when they picture tropical climates. Its ornate yellow or orange emerges from a thick green petiole. In addition to its two pointed petals, it has five stamens and a boat-shaped flower bract. This long-lived and durable shrub is quite tolerant of cold, heat, and drought, and performs best in full sun exposures. Very different species of plants can sometimes share the same common name, and nowhere is this more true than with the flowering plants known as Bird of Paradise. This is the yellow Bird of Paradise, at least as far as I know. But if I'm wrong, please send me a message.
