Blue Willow Isle of TurtlesYellow Garden Round Round Paper Coaster

A classic look with a contemporary colour twist! My adaptation of an old Blue Willow pottery design includes turtles and tortoises - a herpetologist's delight! There are also birds and whales. I've substituted a yellow background instead of the traditional white one for a modern colour combo update. On my imaginary Isle of Turtles, stylised trees, foliage and flowers surround a pagoda / temple. The turtles, flying phoenix birds and whales are decorated with floral designs inspired by antique oriental chinoiserie pottery. Whimsical, unique original artwork & design by Tuzi Williams.
