A lovely paisley motif shown here in a harmonious array of rich jewel tones. The paisley design traces its origins back to Persia and the Sassanid Dynasty, a period of time that stretches back to around 221AD. Its distinctive shape, likened variously to a tear drop, a kidney or even that most exotic of fruit the Mango was originally called “boteh jegheh” and was created as a motif for a religious movement known as Zoroastrianists. The design was supposed to represent the Cypress Tree which was their symbol of everlasting life.

Came in reasonable time especially since it was overseas shipping and more importantly I'm blown away by the quality.
Its not just a cheaply printed picture but acryclic or some other transparent material bonded to the pic.
As an added bonus, the clock doesn't make a ticking noise but is silent. Printing / image quality is exactly as i envisaged if not better. Its difficult to get a picture that just right for this use but the one i had worked nicely with white letters, i can imagine some other photos i had would have worked equally well with black. Very happy customer.
