Born To Be Wild Postcard

As Aa kid in the 50's and 60's we pretty much ran our neighbourhood. Everyones parents sort of watched the travelling group of local kids as they played close to whose house they happened to be playing by. We had great imagination and were driven by an abundance of scrap wood and buckets of nails that everyone seemed to have and built all sorts of forts, tree houses and stuff to roll down the hill on. We did try to tie the dog up to a red rider once but he didn't cooperate and go where we wanted him to. lol Being watched after in the community but allowed to have our time allowed our imaginations to grow and allowed us to experiment. We were a wild bunch, living in a lower income area but we never thought much about all that and just had fun with what ever was available to us. We were born to be wild. lol So this one is for all those memories and creative moments that was our way of life in "the olden days" tehe
