Butterfly Design Flat Note Card

A beautiful black and white, pen and ink drawing of a Speckled Wood Butterfly. Originally created for a conservation magazine, the drawing was made from sketches of the butterflies in my garden and finished in my studio from my photographs. I decided to draw the Speckled Wood in black and white as they are cream and brown, and are often overlooked by Artists and Illustrators for other more colorful butterflies. But I think they are beautiful, and when drawn in black and white, their amazing markings can be properly celebrated.
