C. Critchlow Bubu Bag

For all Bubu fans who participated in "Bubu's Big Event”, the Andean Bear Foundation is proud to offer Carol Critchlow's portrait. Growing up in the Sourland mountains of New Jersey, Carol Critchlow spent much of her childhood first observing the flora and fauna of the forests surrounding her home, then capturing those images on sketch pads and canvas. She graduated from Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pa, in Fine Arts Painting with University honours. Carol specialises in portraits which capture the subtle essence, the ‘inner self’ of her subjects which range from people to pets, florals, wild creatures, to now Bubu, the orphaned Andean bear. Much of her work is done in pencil or pen and ink, but she enjoys painting in oils as well.
