Cat City Postcard! Théophile Steinlen Vintage Art "Cat City" shows a city of cats listening to the top cat, who is surrounded by the light of the full moon. This vintage painting was made by Théophile Alexandre Steinlen (1859 –1923). Théophile Steinlen was a Swiss-born Art Nouveau artist who lived most of his life in Paris, France during the height of the Art Nouveau period. He is known throughout the world for his art posters and advertisements, engravings and paintings. His work is widely collectable and can be seen today at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia, and at many other museums throughout the world.
