Cat, Mediaeval Bestiary Art Notebook

Cat, Mediaeval Bestiary Art Notebook Down a mossy stone slope, a spotted Cat creeps head first with its long tail curled high and its eyes fixed on something below. Ferns and grasses grow between the warm rocks. The scholar's entry calls it a quiet stone ward who wakes when the lizards run, and its patience is a still and shining thing. That patient focus of a cat on the hunt shapes the whole design. A large gold drop cap on a patterned blue panel opens the name CAT, with a red subtitle, of the Garden Rocks, set beneath it over a small black ornament. A short scholar's entry in old style lettering fills the left column, and a framed window on the right shows the spotted Cat creeping head first down a mossy rock slope. A small brown ink sketch of a pair of small paw prints marks the lower left corner. Spotted tawny gold, moss green, and warm stone brown fill a warm parchment tone page with burnt looking edges, framed by blue and red acanthus scrolls, red and gold blossoms, four perched songbirds, and thin gold rails. • Spotted Cat creeping down the garden rocks • Gold drop cap C, red subtitle of the Garden Rocks, and a short scholar's lore entry • Tawny gold, moss green, and stone brown on a parchment tone page with a blue and red floral border • Part of the Mediaeval Bestiary Notebook Collection from Wild Realms
