This greeting card features a portrait of Catherine of Aragon with her pet monkey. Catherine of Aragon was married twice, the first time way to the the eldest son of Henry VII - Arthur. Arthur & Catherine both became sick now long after marrying and Arthur died leaving Catherine in a strange land and a widow at a very young age. Arthur's brother was now heir to the throne and when he became Henry VII one of his first acts was to marry Catherine of Aragon. She was to be the first of 6 wives Henry would have. This greeting card is based on a portrait of Catherine of Aragon by an un-named painter. I love the fact that she posed with her pet monkey!

Looked great and was perfect for my Nana's 99th it arrived super quick so much quicker than sending the original from the other side of the world!
