National flag of the People's Republic of China The Chinese is red in colour with one large star and four smaller stars at the top left. It is sometimes known as the 'Five Star Red Flag'. It was adopted in 1949, and has a 2:3 ratio. Note that any distortion in the preview image is caused by compression artefacts, and won't be printed.
