Cold Winter Day and Mercy Poster

The day I took this picture in Cades Cove in The great Smoky Mountains it was in the low teens. There was absolutely no wind, no movement at all in the air. There was not a cloud in the sky. Everything was covered in the white of frozen fog. Ice crystals hung in the air listening like tiny diamonds in the sun. Every time I see this picture it reminds me of this quote from Pope Francis. "A little bit of mercy makes the world less cold and more just." That is so true.
