This painting is of the Crisp Point Lighthouse. The building was one of the five U.S. Life-Saving Service Stations. The location of this structure is between Munising and Whitefish Point Michigan, on Lake Superior. It is a beautiful site to see when the light of a sunset reflected in the waves rolling onto the beach. The mixture of the warm and cool colours create an atmosphere of crisp air, something that is typical of an evening on the beach.
