Custom Costa's Hummingbird

Cute pen featuring a Costa's Hummingbird. Costa's Hummingbirds are tiny hummingbirds that live in the Sonoran and Mojave Deserts, and in chaparral and sage scrub areas in coastal California. They are important pollinators of cacti and desert plants. They can also be found in parks, gardens, and higher elevation mountains in dry areas. The male has a brilliant purple crown and throat that extends down to a point on each side. They are named for Louis Marie Pantaléon Costa, Marquis de Beauregard, who was a French statesman, archaeologist, historian and ornithologist.
