A very nice old image from an original antique Delft Tile.
Here we have a man, a reaper or mower, carrying his sickle or scythe from the fields.
Delftware, or Delft pottery, denotes blue and white pottery made in and around Delft in the Netherlands and the tin-glazed pottery made in the Netherlands from the 16th century onward. It includes pottery objects of all descriptions such as plates, ornaments and tiles.

This tile is authentic looking with a fun design and would have gone great in my kitchen if the background had been whiter, not as blue as it actually is (which you can see in the image--so no surprises there...). Excellent. Nice and clear and authentic. (Just be aware it doesn't match many of the other available tiles on Zazzle, if you're looking to mix and match.)

Really nice image fixed to the tiles in my shower as a background to a soap dish. This was to hide the marks left by a broken soap dish. Just used tile adhesive and white grout. I think it looks good, almost like the drips are falling from the soap dish. No probs. Nice image.
