Dog, Mediaeval Bestiary Art Notebook

Dog, Mediaeval Bestiary Art Notebook On a worn path through a green meadow, a tan and black Dog rises up on its hind legs, ears up and eyes bright as if someone just called its name. Wildflowers and soft grass line the track behind it. The scholar's entry calls it a loyal path ward, bright eyed and sure, and its greeting is a glad and faithful thing. That happy loyalty of a faithful companion shapes the whole design. A large gold drop cap on a patterned blue panel opens the name DOG, with a red subtitle, of the Meadow Path, set beneath it over a small black ornament. A short scholar's entry in old style lettering fills the left column, and a framed window on the right shows the tan and black Dog standing up on its hind legs on a grassy meadow path. A small brown ink sketch of a paw print marks the lower left corner. Warm tan, meadow green, and wildflower red sit on a parchment tone page with darkened, burnt looking edges, inside a border of blue and red acanthus vines, red and gold flowers, four small songbirds, and thin gold rails. • Loyal Dog standing up on a sunny meadow path • Gold drop cap D, red subtitle of the Meadow Path, and a short scholar's lore entry • Tan, meadow green, and wildflower red on a parchment tone page with a blue and red floral border • Part of the Mediaeval Bestiary Notebook Collection from Wild Realms
