"Don't Fear the Dark" Japanese Yokai Lantern Ghost Stone Coaster

This stone coaster features a red Chouchin-obake, a creature from Japanese folklore. The Japanese character on its face means "life." The text reads "Don't fear the dark...Fear the light!," but can be easily customised to your liking! The Chouchin-obake, or Chōchin-obake (提灯お化け, "paper lantern ghost"), is a type of tsukumo-gami (付喪神, "artefact spirit") in Japanese folklore. On a paper lantern's hundredth birthday, the lantern comes to life! Make sure you treat your possessions well!
