This bridge which predates the two road bridges crosses the river Forth at its mouth (Firth is the Scots word for the mouth of a river) between North and South Queensferry. The bridge is one of the iconic engineering structures of Scotland. The Forth Rail bridge is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
