Jeanne / Spring (Le Printemps - Jeanne Demarsy), painted in 1881 in oil on canvas by French painter Édouard Manet. The painting portrays actress Jeanne Demarsy as an elegant embodiment of spring. Her flower-trimmed bonnet, parasol and fashionable dress are set against abundant foliage and blossoms; the painting was conceived as part of a planned series representing the four seasons through contemporary Parisian women.
