About This Design

French Rococo Arabesque Wrapping Paper

Elegant wrapping paper featuring hand-restored French decorative ornament from the 16th–18th centuries. This design comes from a plate in La Peinture Décorative en France, a 19th-century French folio of interior painting: graceful arabesque pilasters with cherubs, cameos, shell motifs, and ribbon garlands, framed by gilded rails on a soft antique-cream ground. Each pilaster has been carefully cleaned and restored from an original antique print, preserving the texture of the hand-printed lithograph. Perfect for wedding and anniversary gifts, holiday wrapping, bridal showers, and anyone who loves French antiques and Rococo style. Available in multiple roll lengths and as a single sheet. Restored and designed by Dibohemia Revival.

I love this paper and it was large enough to put on the back of a glazed cabinet. It’s had lots of comments. I painted the interior to extend the image and it was very pleased with the result.

I really liked this product, the picture is lovely and the colours are really nice. I wanted it to up-cycle a writing bureau and I was concerned that the paper may be too thin. But it wasn't and it worked fine. On the pictures I have uploaded the print looks a bit aged and not so vivid and new looking. As I wanted an aged patina but the actual print is clearer and the colours are brighter. The colour and prints are good.

I originally was after the bee paper and then realised I could upload a photo. I used the paper to decorate a box, the paper is good and strong to work with. The left over paper I wrapped presents and put them in the box. She loved the box so well worth doing! I was really happy with the print!
