However, did you know that your homeplace in Scotland is a castle near Drumoak in Aberdeenshire? Drum comes from “druim”, a Gaelic word that means ridge. For centuries, Drum Castle was the seat of the chief of Clan Irvine. Wikipedia notes that Drum Castle “is believed to be one of the three oldest tower houses in Scotland (and notably unaltered)”.
