Gopher Tortoise Shell Design Playing Cards
The original abstract design on this deck of Playing Cards was made from an original photograph of a gopher tortoise. The design is a closeup view of the tortoise shell. The linear pattern of the shell has been accented, shown by the sketchy black lines over almost metallic looking colours of silver grey and gold. The overlapping parts of the shell, over the black shadow, make it look like the armour, which it is for the tortoise. These contemporary colours, earth tones, create a modern design from nature, chic, naturally.
