Gravitational Blueshift Tile
A multi-coloured, fractal representation of gravitational blueshifting; the shifting of light towards the blue end of the spectrum that occurs as photons become more energetic when falling into a gravity well. Unlike the more commonly known Doppler blueshift, an apparent effect which is the result of motion towards the observer, gravitational blueshift is real, independant of the received angle of the photon. Really nice image fixed to the tiles in my shower as a background to a soap dish. This was to hide the marks left by a broken soap dish. Just used tile adhesive and white grout. I think it looks good, almost like the drips are falling from the soap dish. No probs. Nice image.
