If we did—if we really thought that there were people going about who had sold themselves to the devil and received supernatural powers from him in return and were using these powers to kill their neighbours or drive them mad or bring bad weather—surely we would all agree that if anyone deserved the death penalty, then these filthy quislings did?" No, we wouldn't, Mr Lewis. No persecution ever should be based on belief without evidence. Or on evidence obtained with torture. Anyway, there is a picture of a witch and for me mages and witches symbolise aging properly ("disgracefully?"). Not withering away in front of a tv, for sure... I keep thinking, it's either becoming a witch, or perishing in a random ditch, or, maybe there are some interesting intentional communities taking elder folks in?
