Head of a Calf (by Rosa Bonheur) Stone Coaster

This design features a painting by Rosa Bonheur (1822–1899), who was a French artist best known as a painter of animals. It shows a close-up view of a calf on a farm. A calf is a young domestic cow or bull. Calves are generally reared to become adult cattle. The hide of this calf is reddy brown. The animal has beautiful big eyes, and its ears are rigid and alert. The grass of the farm's field can be seen behind the calf. The original artwork was painted by Rosa Bonheur in 1878.
