Henri Rousseau - Cliffs Tissue Paper
Cliffs (La falaise), painted in 1895 in oil on canvas by French painter Henri Rousseau, also known as Le Douanier Rousseau. The painting depicts a Normandy coastal cliff, an unusual subject for an artist who rarely travelled far from Paris. Rousseau probably recomposed the scene from reproductions of other cliff paintings, simplifying rock and sea into broad shapes and adding fishermen and large sailing ships.

The application of this decoupage paper was very simple , applied with PVA glue on a plywood surface. The colour stayed true to paper before application . I used cling film to apply over ply wood , no wrinkles , very pleased with the result.
