The original work was a part of the popular animal portrait series originating from my National Trust-commissioned project, "A Letter to the Earth from Beatrix", to celebrate Beatrix Potter's enduring legacy. Beatrix loved and nurtured this native breed in the English Lake District. "Moegi" is a Japanese colour indicating yellowish green after the spring buds.
