The blanket is very soft. I got the small size, which is good just to cover my legs, and would be good for a baby blanket. It wouldn't be so good to cover an adult's lap, but I knew that based off of the size I ordered. I haven't washed it, yet, so I don't know how it will hold up in the wash. The printing looks excellent. Just as I was expecting.
