Americans understandably wanted change in the 2008 elections. In millions' minds, Barack Obama represented hope for change. His initial rebuke of the Iraq War, his fresh, unruffled, intelligent nature paired with much-missed articulate appeal represented a complete departure from the misery of the Bush years.
Unfortunately, this departure is more cosmetic than substantive. Obama has backpeddaled on Iraq. His cabinate is filled with Clinton and Bush holdovers. Worse of all, His solutions for "fixing the economy" are all premised upon the failed philosophy government central planning that got us in this mess in the first place.
