Hot Pepper - Still Life Square Wall Clock

Hot Pepper - Still Life, is a dark food photography. While cooking a spicy Asian dish, the fresh hot chilli on my kitchen table caught my eye. The chilli peppers were small, bright red and had a shiny surface. They lay on the table in a seemingly random but aesthetically pleasing arrangement, highlighting their intense colours and sharp points. The contrast with the black surface of my table was so cool that I had to take a picture of it. Every time I look at this little still life, I get an appetite for a spicy Chinese soup or a hot Thai curry. Dark food photography is a captivating style that emphasises rich colours, deep shadows, and moody lighting to create dramatic and visually striking images of food. This technique involves using low-key lighting setups and dark backgrounds to highlight the textures, colours, and details of the food, giving it a sense of depth and mystery.
