"I AM THE GOOD SHEPHERD" John 10:11 Mosaic Art Jigsaw Puzzle

11" x 14" Puzzle print of the KUFSTEIN TILE MOSAIC ... Austrian German "ICH BIN DER GUTE HIRT" = "I AM THE GOOD SHEPHERD". It references words found in New Testament Mark 10:11 and as prophesied in Old Testament Psalm 23. Found on a monument of a tomb in Central Kufstein, princely Tyrol state, in western part of Austria. I cannot believe the ceramic tile mosaic is in such good condition as it is described by an art historian as 19th century which means from the 1800s. The rest of this tomb looks old and worn. But, the ceramic tile looks to be in miraculous condition. Beautiful colours. Who would have the time and the patience to put this together by hand? The name on the lower far right (here being mostly cropped off) appears to say "P. Raimund Rudolf Gschopf who was born April 10, 1901 ... died February 7, 19... [the year of death is not showing in the photograph.] It also appears to say: "O[rder of] St R. [?] Dr. [of] Theol[ogy]. ReligionsProf[essor.?] Benedictine Abbey Al... [?]. I would guess the "P." would mean he was a priest. Parts of three other names / dates show and the form for January show this is the Austrian form of German. Some date from the 1800s (1858, 1869). Could it be that the priests themselves put this mosaic artwork together? Across the top, barely readable it has REQUIESCANT IN PACE ... a Latin phrase meaning REST IN PEACE. There appear to be words at the bottom in impossible to read old Gothic font script calligraphy that I just cannot make out at all. The artistic style appears to look like a blend of 19th Century German artist Bernhard Plockhorst's painting THE GOOD SHEPHERD (C. 1878) and priestly Orthodox religious devotional icons. The photographer, an art historian, also notes: "I, the copyright holder of this work [the high resolution photograph], release this work into the public domain. This applies worldwide. In some countries this may not be legally possible; if so: I grant anyone the right to use this work for any purpose, without any conditions, unless such conditions are required by law." My notes (by Mark Edward Westerfield): Besides the slight camera angle computer correction, I gave slight computer enhancements as slight colour saturation, slight sharpness enhancement, and computer vignetting darkening periphery edges to focus attention to the centre. ............. Psalm 23 21st Century King James Version (KJ21) 23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. ....................... John 10:11-18 King James Version (KJV) 11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. 12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. 13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. 15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. 17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. 18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. .............................

I bought this jigsaw in 252 pieces because I originally bought it in 110 pieces. I found it a bit of a leap in terms of time commitment as this one took me approx 5 hours. It was definitely challenging and was on my boundary of tolerance. This is because I like to complete a puzzle in just a few hours. I find thousands of pieces tedious and having to store them leads to lostvpieces. I can never commit Diego busy lifestyle and not knowing when I will find the time and or motivation to go back to a puzzle. The puzzle comes in a really durable gift box that will keep puzzle secure for a long time. It also fits neatly on to a small bookcase for storage. The image was centrally fixed with no border lines,it was also very good quality image.
