About This Design
Jack Russell Terrier
The Jack Russell Terrier is known as a fox hunter. He is related to the Parson Russell Terrier and the Russell Terrier. A Jack Russell Terrier is energetic, lively, and clever - usually quite independant as well. The Fox Terrier and Jack Russell Terrier type dogs of today are likely to be descendents of dogs from the period during which Reverend Jack Russell began breeding terriers to produce a breed with stamina for the hunt as well as the courage and physical capabilities to chase foxes once they were found. Jack Russells are working dogs and must be properly stimulated and exercised. The Jack Russell Terrier in this painting is a composite of many of his qualities: the strong jaw shows his no-nonsense working nature while the intense colours convey his drive to hunt. Since the Jack Russell can be quite the entertainer, with deadpan antics that catch you by surprise, the artist has incorporated brightly coloured geometric designs to represent his personality. Worker, hunter, athlete, and entertainer - that says it all - the Jack Russell Terrier.

Looked great and was perfect for my Nana's 99th it arrived super quick so much quicker than sending the original from the other side of the world! My Nan loved my artwork too and the picture of us inside helped her remember who I was as she has Alzheimer's. Crisp and clear. Bright and colorful true to the original artwork I created. The photo we placed inside also looked great and clear.

This was used as a Mother's Day card and my mother absolutely loved it! The artwork and attention to detail is stunning. It's as if the hare could jump right out of the card at any moment. The print quality and colours are of a very high standard and show the beautiful hare in commendable detail.
