Jane Addams* Mug

Jane Addams was an American human rights leader of the 19th and 20th centuries. Addams lived in London and saw first-hand the living and working conditions of people, especially the situations enountred by children and women. Upon returning to Chicago, she founded Hull-House as a respite from the conditions found in Chicago. Jane Addams also attenpted to keep the United States out of World War I, but as history shows that did not happen. Four years prior to her death, she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
